January in review

January rocked the house around here.  It was the best month ever traffic wise.  I think I said that last month, I hope I can keep saying it.

Let’s see, subscribers went from 287 to 350.  That’s fantastic ya’ll!  My goal when I started this site was to average one new subscriber a day.  Which means I was aiming for 365 by February 6th. Which as of yesterday I exceeded my goal by a bit with a subscriber count of 372.   I’m thrilled with that!  Thank you everyone!!!

My most popular posts in January were:

Budget Percentages
Grocery Store Mind Games
Finding Frugality

Don’t let the news replace your reality

November in review

I want to highlight some of my top posts in November and give some link love to my top referrers for the month.  I’ve seen this type of post on some other blogs and I’ve been meaning to do it, but for some reason the only time I think of it is in the middle of the month, which does me no good.

The 5 most popular posts written in November were:

What the government should be doing in a recession
Gift cards at Costco
Spending $12 never made me feel so rich (who would have thought!)
Linens-n-Things is going out of business
The poorest time in my life

The 5 posts that received the most November traffic, regardless of when they were written:

10 tips to get your house sold
My Gallons (A lot of traffic searching for “prepaid gas cards”.  Makes me think people are feeling like gas is reaching a bottom)
Building a wardrobe

What the government should be doing during a recession
Gift cards at Costco

My top 10 referrers were:

Living Almost Large
No Credit Needed
The Suns Financial Diary
Frugal Dad
Not the Jet Set
Coupon Cravings
No Debt Plan
Master Your Card
We Like Money
Being Frugal is Fabulous

Alrighty… that was November.  I want to thank all my readers who keep me going.  There is no way I would still be writing this blog if it weren’t for you guys.  Without your visits, subscriptions, comments, links, emails, and love I would have given up a long time ago.   Please, if you haven’t subscribed, consider my rss feed.
