Last night we got a sitter and went out to do some Christmas shopping for the kids.  There is a Disney outlet about 30 minutes away (yay!) so we went over there.  We also had a coupon for 25% our whole order.  Oh it was fun.  There were a couple of things we saw that we wanted but were too expensive but other than that we pretty much everything we thought was cool.  Three big shopping bags worth of stuff and we only spent $60.  Most of it will be from the big man in red but a few things are sitting under the tree as we speak.

Ultimate Money Blog reminds us to check your receipts.  I’m not kidding, this saved me almost $7 today.  I wouldn’t have had it on my mind if I hadn’t read this post.  This time of year when the employees are busy and everything is marked down it’s especially important to watch the price items are ringing up at.  Old sale signs might be still up (this is what happened to me today) or sale prices haven’t been updated in the computer.  So pay attention and make sure you are getting the advertised deal.
