I'm fairly conservative, but unrestricted capitalism will fail every time because of the greed of man. It's the most efficient economic system. But when businesses grow into monopolies then they become dictators and governments need to regulate. If businesses are free to sell anything and everything then they will sell things that may be very toxic or not fully disclose ingredients etc. So governments need to regulate.
