Did you guys hear that Linens n Things is going out of business?  I was shocked when I saw the signs.  On one hand I’m totally bummed because I love that store.  On the hand I’m excited because it means I get to shop there for cheap.  And when I think about it, I never really bought anything there anyways since they are kinda expensive.

We stopped in to check it out this weekend.  The store still looks normal, still fully stocked, not huge discounts, but it was pretty crowded.  We got a good idea of things we want to pick up when the sales really start to kick in.  There are about 100 things we want to buy.

For example:
Towels
Sheets
Trash Can
Cutting board
Digital Picture Frame
Kitchen Aid Mixer
Tons of Cookware (pots, pans, fancy use once a year type things)
Flatware
Memory Foam mattress topper

Not that I’m going to buy all that stuff… but that’s some stuff I’m going to keep an eye on.

We already bought a coat rack thing to hang on the wall. We’ve been keeping our eye out for one for a bit now, and I saw one I liked while we were looking around Linens n Things this weekend. It was $20 and it said it was 20% off. But it rang up at 50% off. So if you are there and there is something you are really interested in you might want to double check the price with someone who works there. Doesn’t seem like their signs are quite up to speed. As is usually the case during things like this. Also, the prices online are not as good as in the store. So make sure you head down to your local store and check it out in person.
